Key Account Manager / National Account Manager
The client is a Producer of branded retail FMCG food products, and has created and developed a successful range of niche brands. They are selling their products throughout the UK, through a variety of channels, and wish to continue developing this commercial activity through Multiple Grocers, Independents, Wholesale, via the internet, and through developing additional markets and channels. In addition to expanding their current UK footprint, the company is developing new brands which will require promoting and selling.
Incorporating both New Business and Account Management, this role will deliver profitable revenue growth, with a focus on major Multiples / Supermarket listings of their branded products. You will grow and maintain a Sales pipeline, and will be developing and maintaining existing accounts and relationships, and identifying and developing new name customers. Effective sales reporting, customer insight and market analysis will be important to success.
Candidates will have solid experience within an Account Management / Business Development / Sales role, and will understand the approach, processes, and supply chain mechanics of selling into large Multiples / Supermarkets. Whilst experience in food / perishable goods would be ideal, this is not considered essential, and we would be keen to hear from candidates with strong experience and understanding of retail channel sales gained with other consumer goods. The role involves travel around the UK as and when required.
