Senior Category Manager
Our client, a market leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking a confident, influential and proactive Senior Category Manager.
Reporting to the Supply Chain and Channel Directors, your duties will include developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying and delivering category strategies, developing marketing strategies to increase sales, supporting key account objectives, leading and facilitating cross functional internal and external projects, generating new ideas for business growth, developing and delivering strategies and opportunities for each client, working with the Directors to support key accounts, interpreting and utilising data to grow sales and developing effective marketing strategies.
In addition, you will support the Directors in overseeing relationships with external agencies, effectively handling objections and driving the business forward.
Results driven, passionate and highly motivated, the successful candidate will have proven experience within a similar role, excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills and will be able to successfully build internal and external relationships at all levels. You will be computer literate, analytical and numerate with a good understanding of category management principles and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
A 1st or 2:1 degree in Business or Marketing would be an advantage, as would a working knowledge of consumer panel data. Previous experience of working in sales or in an FMCG environment, particularly food or drink, would also be advantageous.
