My client is a fantastic listed menswear brand located in Central London. They have undergone a period of transformation to drive the business's new growth strategy and the finance team is growing. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have a core role in the day to day business from a financial perspective and will liaise with all lines of business.
This role is designed as a development opportunity for a newly-qualified ACA accountant and will see you work within the group team. This team is made up of high calibre ACA trained individuals who will aid your transition from practice into industry and your longer-term learning. This role is essential in the development of a clear accounting structure which will enable the FP&A team to grow and provide further opportunities.
Your key responsibilities in this Group Accountant position will be:
Liaise with business units/division to ensure reporting to Group is both timely and to a high standard
Group reporting will require you to prepare an element of the monthly consolidated accounts (consolidating, reconciliations, journals etc)
Leading on elements of month end reporting as well as external reporting at group level providing reports to senior financial stakeholders
Deliver accounting updates and training to segment finance teams and help in performing assessments of any upcoming revisions to accounting standards;
Continually drive process change and development to ensure efficiency of operations
Project work including, but not limited to, redesign of the chart of accounts; assistance with corporate re-simplification; systems improvements
The Successful Applicant
As An Ideal Candidate For This Group Accountant Position You Will Be:
An ACA qualified accountant (Big 4 training preferable) Possess a strong academic background (educated to degree level; 2.i and above)
Show strong technical accounting experience: IFRS; consolidations
Demonstrate clear attention to detail and the ability to be thorough in your work whilst meeting strict deadlines
Have a flexible approach to working in a fluid environment
Eligible to work full-time in the UK
