Fantastic opportunity not to be missed! Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Audit & Research Administrator to join the team in Holborn. Joining them on a full time fixed term basis to cover maternity leave, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,100 per annum.
Anaesthesia is the UK’s largest secondary care specialty. 16% of all hospital consultants are anaesthetists and over two-thirds of hospital in-patients will see an anaesthetist. They support approximately 17,500 members and fellows and approximately 3,500 from their Faculties of Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Medicine.

They are looking for an organised and efficient administrator to support the research team in the delivery of a large national healthcare audit and other ongoing projects.
The National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA) has been commissioned by the Health Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and is being carried out by our client. Emergency laparotomy is a common major procedure performed for a variety of abdominal conditions where emergency surgery is required. This national clinical audit aims to measure and improve the quality of care of adults undergoing this procedure.
The Audit & Research Administrator will be a confident and proactive individual with strong organisational and time management skills, who will thrive on the challenge of supporting NELA, and meeting other project demands of the research team. The Audit & Research Administrator will be a self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic team player, willing to pick up routine and emerging tasks as they arise.
You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as good writing skills to be able to support the work of their Boards and Committees. As their Audit & Research Administrator, you should be able to handle challenging people and situations with diplomacy and be at ease forming good working relationships at all levels.
You will need to have a keen eye for detail and methodical approach to help with the final preparations for data collection and the ongoing fielding of queries via the help desk. A keen eye for detail, accuracy and good IT skills will assist you in updating content for their websites. MS Office literacy is essential, including intermediate Excel skills. Familiarity of using databases is desirable.
Experience of working in a healthcare or research environment is an advantage, but more important is your ability to maintain high standards whilst working under pressure.
