The Role

Production of monthly gross profit numbers for Managed Services business unit to be included within management accounts to strict deadlines for review by the Senior Management Accountant and Director of FinanceThorough variance analysis and commentary to be included in Board pack.Responsibility for the maintenance & improvements of the monthly GP reporting mechanismReporting of the balance sheet control accounts applicable to the GP reconciliations and reconciliations including work in progressLiaising with Contracts & Commercial teams to investigate notable variances and take action where necessaryCreating & updating KPIsAssisting with year-end statutory accounts including liaising with external auditorsUpgrading/improving systems, procedures and controls as appropriateCover for the team in absencesProviding ad-hoc reporting as and when requestedBuild strong relations with internal customers to ensure excellent customer serviceOther duties as delegated from time to time by the Senior Management Accountant or any other person designated in their absenceAbout You

Ideally finalist in CIMA or ACCA and experienced in working with small/medium sized companies. Will consider part qualified with suitable experience.Have previous practical management accounts exposure, ideally within a firm of similar size (£60m t/o plus)Possess a good understanding of Excel, Word, Outlook and preferably Sage 200Confident communicating with colleagues at all levelsExperienced in dealing with and resolving complex queriesDelivering results within tight time scalesExcellent attention to detailA team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learnA self-starter who is pro-active, able to manage own workload and can set and achieve goalsStrong organisational & time management skills
