As our Bid Manager you will be responsible for the proposal of bids to existing or prospective clients for projects, ensuring the smooth running of the bid for a project within the correct time and financial parameters, and manage the relationship with internal stakeholders. In the initial few months the role will be mainly focused on renewals of current frameworks, however after this you will focus on sourcing and proposing new bids.About You
As the Framework Manager you will be working closely with the Sales Operations Manager and Sales Manager/Director on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who has the capability and level of experience to produce high quality applications in a fast paced environment.·Solid experience in managing medium to large scale IT /Infrastructure project bids on a local and national level·Experience of using Public Sector Frameworks·Experience of using the G-Cloud programme·Proven track record in successful bid writing of large scale and complex bids·Proven track record of winning and implementing large scale bids (£1-5 million), ensuring a seamless transition for all parties·Knowledge of all elements of the bid and tender processes·Highest level of verbal and written English skills with excellent attention to detailAbout the Role·Managing the entire bid process, from initial identification of the opportunity through Pre-Market Testing – ‘Won’ stage·Assisting in the development of concise, technically correct, well-structured bids that showcase ANS and fully meet the requirements of the customer and the required deadlines and budget/cost constraints, including but not limited to:oUnderstanding the rules of tenderingoUndertaking a Bid/No Bid exercise to decide whether to make a submission or notoUnderstanding the RFT, deciding timelines and responsibilitiesoSelling your tender and pricing to winoTimely management of tender activitiesoReview of drafts and effecting improvementoMethodologies and executive summariesoQuality control and proceduresoCopy-writing, where appropriateoGraphic design and presentationsoObtaining feedback from purchasers when tenders are unsuccessful in order to improve in futureoGive guidance with business and marketing developmentoProvide insight and analyses of forthcoming opportunities, purchasers' mind-sets, best practice and dealing with purchasers·Scoring Process – weight scores and review to minimise risk to the bid and feed back to the bid team·Identifying the resources required to deliver a successful bid and to form, lead and manage bid team·Identifying and bidding for suitable framework opportunities, identifying the business benefits and risks·To have worked with Public Sector Frameworks and the ability to report on Management Information·Follow an Operating Procedure structure, experience with audits (Internal and External)·Bid/Tender/Framework Training (as part of the induction)·KPI Data:oReport on all data/tenders that are won/lostCreate a Report that can be taken to the Board Meetings based on KPI
