We have a new vacancy for Senior Structural Engineer to join an established Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in West London.
The client are currently trying to bridge the gap between their Senior Engineers and Junior Engineers.
The successful Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for working on projects across residential, commercial and retail sectors.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with steel, concreate and timber. Experience of multi-storey residential and high rise buildings would be extremely beneficial.
The successful candidates will have day to day structural technical involvement working with the project team, mentoring junior engineers and reporting to a senior members of staff.
Structural Engineer Job Role: -
Dealing with Clients directly and managing a wide range of projects, ranging from relatively modest residential projects through to more complex multi-disciplined schemes. Day to day structural technical involvement working with the project team, mentoring junior engineers and reporting to a senior members of staff.
Demonstrate expert structural engineering knowledge and motivate and inspire others.
Attend design team, site and client meetings as required by the project administrator / Principal Engineer and keep accurate records. Deliver accurate structural engineering solutions appropriate to the stage and type of project under consideration.
Liaise with Architects, Clients and the rest of the design team to ensure an efficient and integrated structural solution that is sensitive to the architectural intent.
Role Requirements and Qualifications: -
BEng & MSc or MEng in structural or civil engineering
Candidate who wish to apply should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience within industry ideally as a Structural Engineer or experienced Structural Engineer
Experience using Eurocodes
Experience of working with steel, concreate and timber. Experience of multi-storey residential and high rise buildings would be extremely beneficial.
Ability to clearly communicate technical detail to a non-technical audience Ability to prepare sketches, technical reports and specifications Ability and propensity to coach and mentor enthusiastic and inquisitive junior engineering and cad staff Ability to use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to produce project related documents Ability to use Analytical/Design software
