Transition Manager - Restructures

A new full time permanent opportunity has arisen to join our team in Bristol. 

Restructuring investment options within pension scheme business is a complex activity affecting multiple business areas across the Aviva Group. This role forms part of the Corporate Workplace Asset Transition team who manage activity across our key platforms NGP, My Money and Unisure.

The role holder will lead default fund restructure transitions within our Corporate Workplace platforms. Working as part of a growing team within Corporate Business Solutions handling the engagement between internal and external parties on matters closely related to investment analysis, unit pricing and policy administration. A key objective of the team is to mitigate policyholder, shareholder and operational risk.

Responsibilities

    Working closely with all key internal and external stakeholders, including Clients, Employee Benefit Consultants and Fund ManagersDeveloping a transition plan for each transition, utilising the most appropriate transition methodsDeveloping and producing pre and post transition analysis and reportsEstablish client requirements from direct (including face to face) contact to develop tailored solutionsProject manage the delivery of the transition in line with the agreed plan, co-ordinating the resource required to execute the transition effectively and resolving any risks/issues which ariseManage Restructure pipeline, ensuring that capacity is appropriately managed in line with client demandReviewing transition activity to identify opportunities to enhance the transition propositionEnsuring the Transition controls framework is embedded into restructures processSupporting Distribution in client engagement activity through provision of transition knowledge and expertiseWorking alongside Marketing carry out initial analysis of customer data segmentation to enable effective communicationsLead and manage delivery team including Senior Transition Analyst and Transition Analysts
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

Essential:

    Excellent understanding of the UK Corporate Pensions market and its evolutionExcellent understanding of transition management methods and the development of these methods within the marketStrong experience in implementing asset transition activity within insured fund unit pricing or client servicingStrong analytical & numerical skillsStrong Excel skillsAccuracy and attention to detailEffective communication skills at all levels, internal and externalStrong presentation skillsLeadershipStrong written communication skills, must be able to communicate complex messages in simple customer focussed language
Desirable:

    Investment related (e.g. IMC) or willingness to study towards obtaining and / or project management related qualification
