Working as an IT Business Analyst you will be tasked with developing develop Business requirements and viable Business Solution Designs; ensuring that the assets produced are appropriate for re-use in line with RAC business strategy and IT architecture.

Role purpose:

-Defining, analysing and documenting requirements
-Studying requirements feasibility to determine if the requirement is viable technically, operationally and economically (cost/benefit analysis)
-Assessing requirements feasibility by analysing requirement risks and constraints and modifying requirements to mitigate identified risks
-Prioritising requirements to reflect the fact that not all requirements are of equal value to the business, but finding ways to ensure that multiple parties can meet their own goals and interests (win-win situations) and promotes collaboration to discourage an `us` versus `them` thinking
-Facilitation of the validation and verification of requirements throughout a project to ensure that the system/solution satisfied the requirements
-Design and development of high quality business solutions in line with the RAC enterprise architecture and which support the business in achieving both its financial goals and its goal to become the motorists` champion
-Managing own workload and delegation of work/ work streams to wider group of BA`s on a large scale project - Sharing knowledge and best practice through on the job support and engagement in the BA Practice Forum

Skills, Knowledge and qualifications:

-Ideally business analysis qualification with proven commercial experience
-Ideally a basic knowledge of the insurance industry including FSA and TCF outcomes and other relevant regulation and legislation
-Detailed knowledge of requirements definition; requirements management and technical solution processes and associated techniques in line with waterfall or agile developments
-High level knowledge of the end to end project lifecycle
-Specification and design of end to end Business change and business solutions to meet defined business requirements within the framework of the RAC enterprise architecture and business principles
-Proven ability to deliver solutions for programmes/project/s balancing time, cost and quality
-The ability to ensure that key business goals , strategy and vision are understood and can be articulated and requirements documented or communicated in a clear/concise and unambiguous way that enables a solution to be defined, designed, constructed, tested and delivered, including benefits realisation.
-Problem solving, negotiation and decision making skills are essential
-Fundamentals of project management are desirable
