Marketing Executive-Communications Executive-Coventry - £27,000+Benefits

Major global brand seek driven Marketing Executive to join a world class communications team.

Reporting to and supporting the Assistant Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will work closely with the in-house design team and key internal stakeholders to successfully deliver internal and external marketing activities. The role requires a strong emphasis on internal and external communications and will involve implementing an engaging communications plan which appeals to a wide target audience. The ideal candidate will hold strong interpersonal skills and copywriting skills, whilst having the ability to forward plan and use own initiative to plan new marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities include:

Internal & External Communication

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, manage internal communications schedule and ensure the company intranet is regularly updated with engaging and relevant content.
  • Work closely and brief in-house design team to create marketing materials such as emails, booklets, posters and leaflets etc.
  • Collate and produce content for the company wide employee 'team brief’ and internal magazine which is sent to over 4,000 employees nationwide. Ensure content is engaging and is written in a manner which can be understood across the business.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are followed when creating new marketing materials and liaise with our international counterparts during the creation of new content. Follow approval/amendment process to ensure materials are signed off and agreed.
  • Liaise with the Online Marketing Team and produce written content for quarterly customer eNewsletters.
  • Ensure all branded assets are up to date and work alongside agencies to develop new materials i.e. videos and photography to support products and services.

Press Releases / Media & Website

  • Monitor and report on competitor activity each week and distribute to key internal stakeholders.
  • Write and/or adapt articles for internal use to ensure the business is kept updated on key company news.
  • Respond to any media enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor website to ensure information is correct and up to date, taking instructions from colleagues when alterations are required and ensuring changes are completed.

Charity Management

  • Ensure that employees are kept aware and engaged with our corporate charity partnership. Act as charity liaison support point for nominated charities.
  • Ensure that employee sponsorship is tracked and promote fundraising opportunities internally.
  • Create an engaging charity plan which the company can follow and share this internally through various communication mediums.
  • Contribute towards employee engagement by organising charity events at key times throughout the year.

Marketing Administration

  • Ensure marketing collateral is kept up to date and available to the sales team.
  • Be a 'brand champion’ and ensure employees across the network are using the brand correctly.
  • Maintain and update internal noticeboards / reception areas when required.
  • Raise and track orders within the purchase order system and set new suppliers up when required.
  • Monitor the department general enquiries inbox and ensure emails are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Carry out general administration support for the marketing department - raising purchase orders, arranging travel, booking meetings etc.

Person Specification and requirements include:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Driven and self-motivated with excellent attention.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on their own.
  • Proactive individual who seeks ways to improve current marketing communications both internally and externally.
  • Uses own initiative and are able to contribute and implement new initiatives/marketing activities which engage relevant target audience.
  • Ability to take on key marketing related projects i.e. Market Research.

You will ideally be educated to degree level or Professional CIM qualification considered.

Essential skills include:

  • Experience of working with an in-house or external design agency from initial briefing to end result.
  • Excellent understanding of creating engaging content and adapting messages to suit different audiences.
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to create high quality content for marketing materials and web pages.
  • Ability to proof read and look for continuity issues within any creative produced.
  • Proven track record of working within a similar role for a minimum of 12 months.
