Field Customer Support Engineer - Cash Management / payment solutions

An international leader of cash management / payment solutions due to growth are looking for an additional Field Customer Support Engineer to join its existing customer support team.

Reporting into the Service Manager, the successful individual will be based from home and will be responsible for providing additional ad-hoc onsite support for customers which include the service, repair, preventative maintenance and installation of their larger cash management and processing systems throughout Kent, London, Essex, Surrey and North Hampshire regions; working to strict SLA’s and resolving technical issues with the support of technical support when required as well as work outside of the above regions on occasions for up to 1 week at a time.

The successful individual will be qualified to City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or above within Engineering and be able demonstrate previous commercial experience of working within a field service / customer support capacity, working on the service, repair and installation of cash management, ATM’s, bank note processing systems, coin handling, gaming, printers or photocopiers; have experience of basic fault finding down to component level using hand held test equipment as well as possess a full clean UK driving licence.

Individuals who have a background within the Forces such as RAF, Navy or Army would be of distinct interest to our client, though not essential.

The client is looking for self-motivated individuals who possess strong customer facing and communication skills along with the ability to work well under pressure.

Individuals will also be required to cover some shift hours including nights on occasions.

This position is offering a basic salary of £25,000 + regional allowance = £4375 per annum; company car, contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday.
