We’re looking for an Assistant Desktop Publisher to join a market leading learning and development company here in Bristol. As an innovative and strategic training provider you’ll be joining a team of creatives with a genuine scope for progression within an established company.

What you’ll be doing 

You’ll work closely with 2 desktop publishers as part of a larger design team. Working at pace, you’ll be assisting with the production of learning materials for learner facing content and internal L&D. As this a multimedia content orientated role you’ll adopt a variety of duties, you’ll be using your creative flair to transform static PDF’s into engaging interactive documents. You’ll also be checking proofs, sourcing graphics/photographs and assist in finalising documents ready for print and online publications. On occasion, you might even be chipping in with some video editing too so it’s safe to say no day will be the same.

What experience you’ll need 

Firstly you be an organisational wizz with top notch IT and literacy skills. You’ll need to be a creative individual with a basic knowledge of graphic design, so you’ll be no stranger to Adobe software as well as Microsoft Office. You’ll need to have a critical eye with experience in proof reading and strict attention to detail. Ideally you’ll have an interest in learning technology and come from an L&D or educational background. Although not essential it would be a benefit if you have some experience in web design, HTML/CSS and know your way around social media platforms.
