My client is an awesome Sales, Marketing and Distribution business, focussing on premium spirits & soft drinks and they are building a strong reputation for developing uniquely positioned brands in a creative and innovative way

The company has grown rapidly since its inception and are now looking to appoint their first full-time sales Executive / BDM who is tenacious, passionate about premium spirits & soft drinks, especially gin and who has contacts with On-Trade across Home Counties and South of London to Bristol to develop with the business as they expand


You are a people person, very confident and outgoing with great idea’s. You will not only live & breathe the brand but you will also have a creative mindset to generate creative ideas to push the business forward, across events and any other opportunities.

You will have worked in a similar position as perhaps a BDE within the drinks industry (preferably premium spirits) for a year and you will be highly organised at developing and retaining a successful territory. You will have existing contacts with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and supermarkets in the territories and have proven success within your CV.

If you have dealt with Brand owners directly, then this will work in your favour, you will be IT literate and have used CRM systems before.

Ultimately you must have a love of quality food and drinks and be completely passionate about the drinks industry, in particular Gin and show knowledge and enthusiasm for spirits, having kept up to date with new launches, trade shows and events as this is not a brand ambassador position, you must meet KPI’s and targets and really be tenacious and driven. You will work closely with the owner of the business and there is rapid progression for the right person.

The Role

The role of the Sales Executive/ BDM is to maintain and promote the culture of the company whilst generating new business through strong relationship building. You will be predominantly in the premium on-trade (pubs, bars, restaurants, clubs)

You will maximise both brand visibility and sales volumes in your area, selling a range of highly distinctive quality brands including super-premium spirits, and uniquely positioned premium soft drinks.

You will Prospect and open new accounts to meet sales targets; develop a pipeline of potential and sustainable new customers in your area to grow the account base. participate in evening and weekend promotions / events / trade shows, whilst also creating innovative ideas for events to grow the brand.

You will produce an effective call cycle, ensuring total area coverage.

Producing monthly reports, liaising with the owner & brand owners, negotiate and secure key accounts and manage trade promotion.

Contacts with quality bars, hotels, restaurants, gastro pubs, specialist retailers is essential for this role.
