Goodman Masson have taken on an exclusive mandate to to find a fund controller for a leading private equity investment manager. The business focuses on investments in renewables and has recently opened offices in the US, Australia and southern Europe. While they have a 30 year history, they have increased headcount by over 30% in the last two years, with the majority of that growth in their global headquarters: London.

This role will manage a portfolio of assets that is due to grow threefold in the next three years, as they launch a new product focused on this investments in your sector. Not only will you own the reporting responsibilities for this area, you will develop close business partnering relationships with Investor Relations, the investment management teams and senior business heads. You would fit into the wider Finance matrix as one of their most senior staff.

Your responsibilities:

*First point of contact to the Head of Finance
*Develop detailed and insightful financial analysis for a range of internal and external stakeholders
*Working closely with the investments team through the deal lifecycle, offering support on due diligence, financial management and performance analysis
*Asset and fund performance reporting
*Development of quarterly valuations reports and calculation of performance fees
*Preparation of board papers
*Attendance at board meetings and valuations meetings
*Manage various projects, including systems implementation and improving commercial efficiencies

Candidate requirements:

*Qualified accountant with strong academics
*Previous experience in private equity / investment management ideal
*Experience in fund accounting preferable, but not essential
*Proven ability in front of senior stakeholders
