Job title:- Electrical Working Qualifying Supervisor
Location:- London Bridge and across South London
We are looking for an experienced supervisor and multi-skilled Electrician to join our in-house team as Electrical Working Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to oversee and deliver an excellent repairs service across South London.
About the role
As the Electrical Working QS, your main responsibility will be to oversee all electrical works carried out by the Wandle’s in-house repairs team and our electrical sub contractors, ensuring that the repairs service is able to operate safely and effectively and that a high quality service is provided for our customers.
Day to day, you will provide specification and instruction, as well as deliver electrical repairs, rewires, installations and periodic tests in void and occupied properties. You will carry out quality control inspections and site visits looking at quality and efficiency, as well as compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations. You will complete all necessary administrative work and monitor, record and maintain accurate records of site inspections, electrical test equipment maintenance, electrician’s qualifications, electrical updates issued and training. In addition, you will manage and motivate electricians including sub contracted staff to ensure that works are completed both in an efficient manner and in accordance with legal and professional electrical requirements.
You will be provided with use of a work van for your job, and so must have a full UK Driving License.
An experienced Electrician, with a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or City and Guilds equivalent), you will also:
- Be fully competent in carrying out all electrical duties, as well as have additional skills to ensure repairs jobs can be completed on first visit.
- The ability to use your initiative and lead by example when installing, repairing, inspecting & testing electrical installations and have the knowledge and experience to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report for the type of work being undertaken.
- Experience of lone working
- Have good level of numeracy and literacy
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Have effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Be self-motivated, assertive and confident
Hold a full, clean UK Driving license
