Internal Technical Support Engineer

Due to large volumes in the increase of Uk and International orders my client a technical manufacturing organisation now require an additional engineer to support their internal technical support department.
The successful candidate will possess engineering/mechanics experience- ideally experience and understanding of Switchgears and electrics. The role will be purely in house based and will involve supporting international clients with technical issues as well as qoutations.

Duties
First Line Technical Support
Supporting and quoting products and services into all industry sectors through understanding
of the customer’s needs to such a level that you can propose appropriate solutions.

Closing Opportunities
Ownership and management of the sales pipeline (closing down of open opportunities/quotes raised).

Following-up outbound customer programme activities
Supporting pro-active outbound and reactive marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide first line technical product support
Provide full support to internal and external colleagues of all level and departments
Prioritise work load to maximise commercial impact of special products
Follow up and close open sales opportunities/quotes

Qualifications and skills required to perform this position successfully.
Strong technical background, Switchgear or Electrical distribution desirable
Ability to understand and follow network diagrams and/or circuit diagrams an advantage
Understanding of industrial safety desirable
IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office
Experience of customer service environment
Strong work ethic and self-motivated
Sound communication, planning and organisational skills

Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects

Secondary language skills desirable
