Music Licensing Agent - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Based in Kings Cross, London, N1C 4AG

Salary up to a max of £20,000 per annum

An exciting new department with some great opportunities has been created in our Kings Cross office. We have a space for a bright, sales-driven candidate to fill the Music Licensing Agent role. The Music Licensing Agent’s purpose is to provide exceptional sales and customer service to all clients, customers and stakeholders alike therefore previous experience of delivering excellent customer service is essential.

The successful candidate will carry out both inbound and outbound telesales, selling the many benefits of PRS for Music’s repertoire of music to businesses and organisations across the UK, with the aim of licensing premises where applicable. This will be achieved by using effective telesales techniques and high customer service skills to close down sales and securing customer payments over the telephone. The next task will be to calculate and issue licenses to customers, agreeing payment terms and dates, and ensuring that all new and current account details are processed accurately and efficiently. Demonstrable experience of consultative sales and proactive presentation of value/benefits to customers is needed to be considered for this role.

The Music Licensing Agent will deal with queries efficiently by letter, email and telephone in an appropriate and timely manner therefore experience of working in a fast-paced, target driven telephone-based/contact centre environment is essential to be a success in this role. As the role is target-driven there will be Service Level Agreements regarding quality and revenue which will be monitored and achieved by the Music Licensing Agent.

The role holder will represent PRS in a professional manner at all times and will embrace the challenge of dealing with business owners and will be confidential and professional in objection handling where needed.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and will have an outstanding telephone manner with proven experience in customer service. They will have good literacy and numeracy skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and its packages.
