Purchasing Desk Assistant


+ company profit-share bonus = total of c£20K

Our client is a well-established company, trading for around 40 years in the construction industry, supplying equipment to a vast customer base across the UK and are proud to be recognised as an 'Investor in People’ (IIP) organisation. Due to continued industry success and future business growth plans they are seeking an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join their team. You’ll be supporting the purchasing desk and the Facilities Manager with the in-house administration. If you have experience of purchase ledger and the construction industry then this ideal however someone with Sales Administration experience that has done some purchasing (stationary etc) would also be considered.

Main Responsibilities:

o Raising PurchaseOrders

o Raising Purchase OrderReceipts

o Entering Inspectionrecords on to the company system

o Scanning thorough products examinations asreceived

o Filing generalrecords

o Log and distribute received fax messages and sendresponses

o Process and enter workshopjobs for stock orders

o Raise Purchase Orders andReceipts for stock items

o Liaise with approved suppliers for quotes

o Converse with customers and company depots

o Send details of prices and availability of products to company depots to pass on to customers

o Answer general enquiries via phone and email

Additional Info:

  • Hours of Work are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday
  • 28 days holiday
  • Eligible for company bonus after 3 months employment
