Full Time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join an expanding team at one of Barking's most popular schools from September 2017. Due to the retirement of a long standing member of staff at the Waltham Forest primary school there is currently an opening for a Year 3 teacher to join their expanding team from September.

The school in based in the south of the London Borough of Barking and is easily accessible by both public transport and car. It is located within 0.3 miles of an over ground station and 0.4 miles of a central line underground station. The school also has the facility for staff to park their during the school day.

This Barking school has been graded as Good by Ofsted and is on track to becoming an Outstanding one in the near future. It is currently 3 forms of entry and often praised for being very well organised and incredibly well supported by the Senior Leadership Team. The facilities in the school are fantastic for both the children's recreational time and also for teaching facilities. The school boasts a lot of extracurricular activities including a range of sporting activities and MFL. The Headteacher is very focused on the children's personal enjoyment and wants to make their time there both successful academically and successful in terms of personal development. One way in which they create a positive atmosphere and reward students for their academic success is by hosting a graduation and prom for their Year 6 class following the SATs exams. The school has a fantastic outlook of being 'One Team' where all teachers within the same year group work together which also significantly reduces the stress and workload of planning. This enables that they get the best results from all the classes.

In order to be shortlisted for this position you must have previous Year 3 teaching experience and ideally some experience in either upper KS2 or lower KS2, however the latter is not essential. You must also be able to provide the following:

  • Record of obtaining QTS and TRN number
  • Valid DBS on the online update service
  • Copies of qualifications, either an PGCE or a Bachelors of Education

Please note that Reeson Education have a very strict compliance and vetting policy and you will be required to meet with a member of our team before attending an interview at the school. If you would like to apply to this Year 3 role please send your CV to Flo at Reeson Education as soon as possible.
