Workshop Controller required for a main Dealership
Based in North London
Salary: £25,000 to £33,000 + Fantastic career progression

My client is seeking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller to join their dealership Ideally, the candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Workshop Controller, will be confident, well presented and with a strong and effective communication process.

Main purpose of Job:
To effectively allocate resources to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operational performance. To actively retain all available business by consulting and cooperating with reception staff and Managers.

Job Profile:

- Achieve all sales and profit objectives for the department under Line Manager’s instruction and guidance. Ensure stock levels are effectively controlled.
- Work with colleagues to identify potential customers and additional business.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational processes complying at all times with dealership and manufacturer reporting policies. Achieve all Group, Manufacturer and Statutory Legislation objectives and operate within the law at all times.
- Contribute to a department marketing strategy to promote all products and services. Plan ahead and manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are achieved.
- Policies and Practices Greet customers and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally. Ensure all Group, Manufacturer and Statutory Legislation policies and practices are strictly adhered to.
- Assist line manager to brief the team regarding business objectives and give regular feedback on achievements Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, dealership colleagues, suppliers and external representatives.
- Under line manager guidance and instruction, ensure the systematic recruitment, induction, and performance management of all department employees and aim to stabilise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive and rewarded team.
- Coach and develop the job-related skills of the team through regular and measured learning activities. Seek expert advice with all employment issues to ensure compliance with employment law.
- Remain professional, calm and positive at all times. Ensure personal appearance is consistently of a high standard and uniforms/protective clothing and footwear is worn for applicable positions in the dealership. Assesses own performance and effectiveness and undertake personal development activities.

Skills:

- Good numerical and administrative skills
- Attention to detail (to ensure accuracy and strong results on key performance indication)
- IT literate
