Retail Volunteer Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to create and lead a new team to engage volunteers across our retail network. We are a top ten charity retailer with turnover of around £22 million from 228 shops. At the heart of our success is our team of volunteers who provide support to our shop management teams.
Scope exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. We provide support, information and advice to a quarter of a million disabled people and their families every year. We raise awareness of the issues that matter to keep driving change.
About the role
You and your team will be working closely with the central volunteering team to develop and implement a volunteering strategy to attract more volunteers to support our growing business. This will involve facilitating and supporting new ways of engaging volunteers across the retail network. You’ll be devising training plans and looking to develop and motivate our volunteers whatever their reason for volunteering.
With experience of volunteer management you’ll have a strong understanding of the legal and ethical issues around volunteering. You will also be able to use your expertise in engaging more disabled people into volunteering. You will have proven project management skills and be able to develop and motivate your team as well as influencing and networking across the voluntary sector.
Based in our London office you must be prepared to travel across our retail network in England and Wales as required.
