Job Description

NRSWA Supervisor (civils)
£35K + £6K Car allowance, mobile, laptop, fuel and pension

The Role

The role requires candidates to work with landlords on Wayleaves and licence issues to ensure they do not prevent/holdup planned work. The main aim of this role is to prevent obstructions and time delays to the schedule of work. AKA saving the day!

This a field based role where you will act as the eyes in the field to give real time feedback to the management team to ensure that the job is done right on time every time!

This role requires you to be very thorough and have a keen eye for detail. The role will require you to work with the Regional Field Team on the jeopardy management & co-ordination of key tasks against agreed performance targets to ensure company policy on H&S and all current legislation on NRSWA is observed and followed.

The Company

A disrupter within the Telecoms industry, my client has rapidly grown year on year over the last six years and now has major expansion plans. They are working as part of the BDUK project (Broadband Delivery UK) to deliver ultrafast broadband to customers and businesses. They have recently signed several contracts to supply FTTH in a number of counties and subsequently need skilled people to deliver this and be a part of this success story.

The nuts and bolts of the role

The ideal candidate will have a mixture of Civils and if were being really picky some line telecoms networks knowledge. However if you have a solid civils background this would work for you.

*Fully conversant with the all current legislation (NRSWA) and all proposed legislation (TMA),accredited to supervisor grade
*Prepared to work hard in a growing company
*In depth knowledge of civils construction, cabling and installation work
*Commercial and financial awareness and preferably basic contractual knowledge
*Basic level of understanding of Regional Government and Local Planning legislation
*Organised, assertive with excellent time keeping skills
*Demonstrate a preference in achieving or exceeding standards, focusing on delivery of targets, quality and deadlines
*Experience operating in a customer centric environment and possession of excellent people skills including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution
*Personal stature and credibility
*Ability to influence others in a challenging environment
*Focussed on customer delivery
*Flexibility to perform multiple duties, across multiple regions where required
*Demonstrates confidence
*Current driving license
