International Business Development Executive
Business Development Executive for an established company in the FMCG industry focussing on the Middle East region.
My client is an established company within the FMCG industry and although based in London, has a global account base that spans over 40 countries. The brands my client owns are leaders in their respective markets. The company is rapidly growing and looking to add an experienced Business Development Executive to their existing team in response to its expanding client base outside of its core regions, with a specific focus on the Middle East.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for a variety of accounts across the Middle East region. The core objectives of the role will be to manage the existing client base, deliver new business and improve operational efficiencies within the region.
The position will be an opportunity to further your understanding of account management, international cultures and broaden your knowledge of the foodservice industry. A key part of the role will involve taking ownership of the commercial relationship with clients to continue driving the success of the brand within the Middle East region.
This is predominantly an office-based role in London that will require you to spend time liaising with existing and potential clients to develop the brand and optimise sales. A third of your time will be spent travelling to the Middle East; so confidence and independence within this region are key for success.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience within an account management or business development role within the FMCG industry. A good understanding of the foodservice industry and a technical background are vital for this position. You must demonstrate the ability to work within the distribution channel and have the confidence, independence and ability to travel to and work with the company's account base in the Middle East region on a regular basis. Essential skills to be successful in this role include communication, attention to detail, solution selling, negotiation and the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be educated to A level standard, with Maths a minimum requirement; and ideally hold a bachelor's degree.
