Surveying, Conveyancing & Residential Property Fund Portfolio

The Surveying business is the largest surveying firm in the UK with 460 surveyors around the UK carrying out a survey every 15 seconds. In addition, we also provide Panel Management services to major banks and building societies to manage the allocation of their surveys and the service performed by not only Countrywide`s surveyors, but those from rival firms too. Over 80% of all surveys conducted by us are from contracts held with a bank or building society with the remainder sold direct to consumers either via other Countrywide outlets e.g. Retail offices, Conveyancing etc.

As one the largest transactional conveyancers in the UK, we operate from three major centers Manchester, Cardiff and Bridgend. Our conveyancing services are sold primarily via our Retail offices around the UK.

The Residential Property Fund is a joint venture between Countrywide and Hermes Investment Management and has been created to operate in the Build to Rent sector by acquiring buildings (both already built and to be constructed) to rent and manage. In spring 2017, we are launching our first major asset in Liverpool with another in Manchester at the end of the year.

The Role

You will be providing marketing and PR support for both businesses and provide marketing to both B2C and B2B markets.


To develop a competitive advantage in all the sectors these businesses operate in
Successfully launch the Residential Portfolio buildings in Liverpool and Manchester
To attract and retain new business supporting the division`s growth strategy
To coordinate marketing activity & collateral with other Marketing teams to increase cross-sales and present `One Countrywide`
To establish a strong and coordinated platform for all marketing and PR activity for both businesses
To raise profile of both businesses within their sectors
Manage and develop relationships with key trade press, events and partnerships
To support pitches and manage bids & tenders for both businesses
Create & maintain a social media plan for the respective businesses

Examples of what you will be doing:

Establish and maintain B2B database of contacts for marketing promotion in order to support B2B marketing & build awareness of businesses in their sectors
Implement and oversee existing campaign plan for Residential Portfolio buildings
Producing innovative platforms such as events and outreach campaigns to raise our profile in the B2B sphere
Developing supportive collateral, B2B and B2C, for field teams in order to support new business pitches
Establish a programme of B2B promotional activity such as trade adverts/ advertorials, events, awards, campaigns to ensure we are ahead of B2B competitors
Develop and market new services to constantly exceed our clients expectations and support cross-selling of Countrywide solutions
Working with B2B, Retail B2C marketing and PR teams to ensure activity is aligned and leveraged appropriately
Coordinating closely with respective MD`s of all businesses to ensure all activity is aligned
Working closely with key trade PR media to raise the profile of both businesses.

Experience you have that will set you up for success:

Over 5 years` marketing experience in B2B and B2C facing roles, with at
least two years at management level
Experience in some of the services Countrywide provide will be a
considerable advantage
Happy to work reasonably independently within a new role
Ability to support a field based team, prioritise workload and juggle
multiple projects at any one time
Trade PR experience is desirable but not essential
