SME Team Manager
SME Team Manager required for rapidly expanding energy company based just outside Manchester.
The SME Team Manager will be responsible for managing a team of internal Account Managers, will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and contract renewal advice for a portfolio of existing clients.
The role will be responsible for the development and growth of the SME team and day to day management of the team.
? Responsible for managing a team of internal Account Managers;
? Responsible for driving the growth of the newly constructed SME Team;
? Developing objectives for the team that align with the wider goals of the business;
? Ensure that the teams retention targets and all KPI’s are met;
? Provide exceptional customer service that includes resolving both simple and complex queries;
? Be a point of escalation for customer service queries;
? Maintain strong knowledge of energy market changes, movements, and regulatory issues that provides a consultative approach to strong client relationships;
? Ensure that all negotiations are compliant and ALWAYS in the best interests of the client;
? Through positive contact with the customer uncover any business opportunities or referrals and liaise with new business sales team;
? Ensure that the team maintain all records and databases to the level of quality required;
? Ensure the necessary and best practice sales processes are in place and adhered to;
? Record and communicate competitor activity;
? Collect and analyse the relevant statistics to drive improved performance;
? Responsible for developing relevant market intelligence for the business.
? Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths at least grade C or equivalent
? Educated to a degree level or equivalent (Desirable)
? Higher level qualification relevant to the position (eg Management, Business Studies, Customer Service, NVQ Administration etc) (Desirable)
? At least 5 years’ managing an internal SME Account Management Team preferably within the Energy Industry
? Good knowledge of energy procurement products and processes (Desirable);
? Proven telephone sales skills and experience of working within a B2B sales environment;
? Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills;
? Contract negotiation experienced self-starter, with the ability to motivate others;
? Excellent communication and influencing skills both verbal and written;
? Commercial awareness with sound understanding of key profit drivers;
? Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills and able to work with high quality in a fast moving environment;
? Good working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel);
? Experience with working with databases/CRM systems;
? Positive, professional and focused work ethic;
? Flexible and active team player.
Salary - £28K plus guaranteed monthly commission of £750 for the first 3 months, thereafter 0.75% of contracted revenue, subject to performance against KPI’s
