Job Title - Business Development Manager

Location - Negotiable depending on location of the successful candidate but with travel to our London office if not based there

Salary - £50,000 basic OTE £70,000 (stretch earnings up to £100,000) plus benefits

2017 is an exciting time for Capita Remediation Services as we embark on a year of growth and opportunity, we are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to engage and consult with new clients and drive our business plan. Working in a market with a wealth of opportunity and a genuine chance to raise your profile in an already successful part of Capita plc.

We pride ourselves in delivering a truly consultative approach and working closely with our clients to deliver a bespoke service. As the ideal candidate you will have a strong back ground in business development within the Financial Services industry and ideally have contacts in the Telecommunications and Utilities sectors. Offering Remediation consulting, managed service and interim resourcing solutions you will thrive on identifying and developing new relationships and use your expertise to generate and secure new business revenue.

What you will do:

  • Accountable for identifying new business opportunities and developing successful relationships in order to generate revenue

  • Listen, engage and consult to ensure we create compelling proposals to effectively meet the needs of the client

  • Lead and support client bids to deliver an agreed revenue target

  • Provide commercial input and use your expertise and market knowledge to develop successful business development strategies

  • Use your own contacts within financial services and other market sectors to identify additional new market opportunities

  • Work successfully and in collaboration with the Business Development Team and other internal colleagues to ensure knowledge and expertise is shared

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Demonstrates gravitas and engaging communication skills

  • Demonstrable success of new business development within financial services outsourcing and/or contractor placement

  • Experience of working within highly regulated sectors preferably financial services complaints and claims, in particular Banking, Lending, Payment Protection Insurance and Savings and Investment Complaints

  • Able to work autonomously and take accountability for own performance

  • Highly organised and comfortable working under pressure

  • Flexibility in working hours and locations to meet the demands of the role (in return we are flexible on your work location and working from home where appropriate)

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio to at least intermediate level
