SME Account Manager
SME Account Manager required for rapidly expanding energy company based outside of Manchester.
The SME Account Manager will proactively manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts and provide excellent customer service and contract renewal advice, whilst identifying any potential for growth.
Positively promoting the company’s image through sound customer advice, and understanding of the customer’s energy management needs you will negotiating contracts and handling billing queries.
? Provide advice on the energy markets;
? Negotiate client energy supply contracts;
? Ensure that retention targets and all KPI’s are met;
? Provide exceptional customer service that includes resolving both simple and complex queries;
? Maintain strong knowledge of energy market changes, movements, and regulatory issues that provides a consultative approach to strong customer relationships;
? Ensure that all negotiations are compliant and ALWAYS in the best interest of the customer;
? Through positive contact with the customer uncover any business opportunities or referrals and liaise with new business sales team;
? Maintain all records and databases to the level of quality required;
? Record and communicate competitor activity;
? Provide relevant market intelligence to line manager.
? Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths at least grade C or equivalent
? Educated to a degree level or equivalent or Higher level qualification relevant to the position (eg Business Studies, Customer Service, NVQ Administration etc) (Desirable)
? At least 2 years’ SME Account Management experience within a B2B sales environment;
? Energy industry knowledge and experience is desirable;
? Customer focused with proven telephone sales skills;
? Commercial awareness with sound understanding of key profit drivers;
? Proven track record of target achievement;
? Strong communicator, able to handles objections, influence, negotiate and close on sales;
? Excellent time management skills, organised and able to work well under pressure;
? Good working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel);
? Experience with working with databases/CRM systems
? Able to provide accurate written and verbal customer communications;
? Positive, professional and focused work ethic;
? Flexible and active team player.
SME Account Manager - £22Kplus guaranteed monthly commission of £500 for the first 3 months, thereafter 3% of contracted revenue, subject to performance against KPI’s

The working hours are 9-5 (35 hours per week) 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, with holiday trading options +5/-5 days.
