Chef Manager - Contract Catering, South London (Monday-Friday)

Salary up to £30K

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Manager for a leading contact catering company in Central London. Providing exceptional food and service, the company has renowned in the catering world and well-known for their use of fresh, locally sourced and innovative use of ingredients.

The Chef Manager will be based at a creative arts venue, combining alfresco dining alongside contemporary art. This is a hands-on role and they will be responsible for a small team, overseeing the production of breakfasts, lunches and special events.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 1 &2, and have experience in a high volume establishment within a call order environment. Experience managing a kitchen producing breakfast and lunches using fresh, quality ingredients is essential. The Chef Manager must be financially astute, committed and have a proven track record of leading a team successfully.

The Chef Manager’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and overseeing the preparation of all food, adhering to the company’s high standard
  • Managing the on-site team and enforcing the company’s policies and procedures
  • Recruiting, developing and motivating staff
  • Identifying shortages and instigate action to source ingredients
  • Planning and developing menus in line with client expectations
  • Cost control and ensuring budget targets are achieved
  • PO/invoicing, cashing up, recharges
  • Maintaining a professional and friendly image with the client and customers
