The Role

The role of the Health & Wellbeing Adviser will be to deliver our healthy living behavioural change programme as part of an employability work contract. Working with the programme participants an Adviser will create Health & Wellbeing plans along with providing advice on areas such as reducing alcohol intake and smoking cessation.

They will also be responsible for leading activity groups such as walking groups and where appropriate signposting participants to specialist services and online tools.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who have a sound understanding of the difficulties people face in making healthier choices.

Your Profile

• Successful applicants will need to have a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Health Trainer Qualification along with proven experience in behaviour change techniques and the theory of lifestyle modification.
• A sound understanding of the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices being able to demonstrate that you are up to date with developments in health advice.
• You will need to have the ability to motivate others and inspire trust with strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience of working alone and as part of a team.
