This is an exciting opportunity to become a Trainee Payroll Administrator working for a rapidly growing and successful motor insurance group located in their Haywards Heath office. They are a multi-award winning company who put staff reward and recognition at the forefront of what they do. They are looking to recruit a bright and ambitious individual with an interest in Payroll to assist in the input of monthly data for both pay dates for Group Payroll Services, accurately meet deadlines and to support the team with any adhoc duties when needed.

Responsibilities
As a trainee administrator, the role will be to extend Administrative support to the Payroll Services Team whilst learning payroll within the day to day processing of a busy office.

·Any admin for the Payroll Services team including monthly filing
·Answering the telephone and assisting where possible or directing calls to other team members
·Resetting of password access for employees
·Issuing of P45s on a monthly basis
·Assist with the resolution of any payroll related queries for UK Group Companies and employees, and reacting to urgent cases
·Liaise with other divisions and HR department to collate all relevant payroll data for input on a monthly basis
·Assist with the production of monthly payroll for UK Group Companies on a timely and accurate basis
·Accurate entry of data into the payroll system under instruction
·Liaising with HR on any pay related issues
·General Ad hoc finance functions and reporting
·Liaison with Courts and Authorities on employees leaving or not paying fines
Key Skills and Knowledge
Essential Skills

·Attention to detail
·Numerate
·Good communication skills (written and verbal)
·Good accuracy
·Time management and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.

Desirable Skills

·Intermediate knowledge in Word & Excel
·Experience in a busy admin office would be useful but not essential
·Desire to learn all aspects of payroll undertaking necessary training with the potential to gain recognised qualifications in Payroll.
