Application Analyst

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 p/a + amazing benefits (Grade E)

Location: Manchester City Centre

It's all systems go at the Co-op. Quite literally. We're always looking to improve the way we work, and our retail IT team has a huge role in landing some massive changes for our business. We're looking to recruit a talented Application Analyst to join the team to provide support to our refit, acquisition and closure stores, managing key platforms and applications that impact our customers' experience in-store. As an application analyst at the Co-op, you'll use your eloquent communication skills to manage internal and external relationships to support our refit, acquisition and closure stores, finding solutions and working with relevant teams to solve any issues along the way. As you'll be the go-to team for support with changes to IT hardware and all customer facing store technology, you'll need the ability to communicate technical messages to colleagues and partners on all levels. If you can overcome all the usual change challenges to deliver on-time and to the highest standard, you'll have a unique opportunity to make a visible impact on our customer experience in-store.

What you'll do

* manage planning and scheduling of projects

* launch support for refit and new launching stores

* continually analyse opportunities for improvement

* manage relationships on all levels, internally and with third party suppliers

* meet project SLAs in line with estates team

To be successful as an application analyst, you'll need experience of working in an IT support function role in a complex and fast paced environment like our own. You'll need to be organised and confident working cross-functionally with a variety of partners, suppliers and teams across our business. If you can expertly manage the ambiguity and complexity that comes with large scale retail change, you'll have a unique opportunity to build your profile and thrive as part of one of biggest and most ambitious change agendas in retail.

What you'll bring

* first experience in an IT or helpdesk environment

* keen eye for detail

* ambition and drive to succeed and build profile

* knowledge of EPOS systems is desirable (from analyst, sales assistant or similar role)

* organised and structured approach to workload

* experience in a project related environment would be desirable but not crucial

* intermediate excel skills (you'll be using vlookups, pivot tables etc.)

* amazing communication skills
