A vibrant and outstanding independent prep school in North London are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic English Teacher to the head up the department and teach English from Year 6 through to Year 8. This is a full time and permanent position from September 2017.

This independent prep school is highly successful in fulfilling its aim to provide a first class education in which pupils can develop holistically. As a result of excellent teaching throughout the school, all children make great progress and enjoy lessons and interacting with their teachers. Thus, there are excellent relationships between pupils and staff and there is a warm, welcoming and happy atmosphere resonating throughout the school community.

The Head is looking to recruit a dynamic and committed teacher who specialises in English, is an excellent classroom practitioner and can teach English from Year 6 to Year 8. Experience of teaching English to Common Entrance level would be a significant advantage, though senior school and secondary school English teachers who are looking for a different challenge are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will have experience of teaching English Literature and will be an excellent communicator and a team player. It is hoped that you will want to involve yourself in the wider life of the school.
