Our client is a company that flows with creativity to offer you independence from the conventional and delivering architectural product design at reasonable prices.

This role will be to provide technical support in respect of both internal & external sales and administration colleagues.

Tasks will include but not necessarily be limited to:

• Responding to sales enquiries where technical knowledge is required. For example, assisting a client in deciding which product to choose for their requirement and making sure they have all the correct ancillary equipment.

• Helping to close every-day sales enquiries via the delivery of helpful, concise and expert knowledge.

• Using the company’s lighting software to prepare the virtual models of clients’ projects that can be passed to the creative lighting consultants for further conceptual design work.

• Working with administration colleagues assisting with technical aspects of the quotations they may be preparing.

• Assessing new enquiries in relation to their potential to develop further or new business opportunities and working with the external sales colleagues to set up meetings and presentations.

Experience Required:

Previous experience in the industry will have developed the candidates’ knowledge of types of equipment typically found within the LED lighting business – familiarity with items such as loads, watts, volts and amps, drivers and power supplies and how to specify such items in relation to the luminaires’ requirements is a pre-requisite. Training onthe clients specific product range will be provided but once this knowledge is acquired, the candidate should be able to get up to speed quickly.

Experience Desired:

Some experience of lighting design would be a useful addition. Knowledge of lighting software such as Dialux would be a significant advantage although it is not a requirement as training can be given.

Candidate profile:

A sales-oriented background with the mix of technical knowledge is our ideal. Whilst this isn’t a sales targeted position, you will be assisting the sales team reach and exceed theirs. Your ability therefore to manage daily enquiries, answer technical questions and convert them into a closed sale will be extremely useful and will allow the senior sales team to focus on the higher value projects however, as the primary technical point of contact at the office, you will also have daily contact with your colleagues’ clients. We therefore require a highly articulate, personable individual who is motivated and results driven.
