This Junior Accountant job in Birmingham is ideal for an AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified accountant looking to pursue a career working in Accountancy Practice. Our client envisages the right candidate to be someone with a thirst for knowledge and a minimum of 12 months’ experience of working within a Public Practice accountancy firm.
Our client imagines the Ideal Junior Accountant to be someone with Iris and Sage experience, with a broad basic knowledge of accounting to include personal tax, bookkeeping and vat experience. Prior exposure to working in a Public Practice Accountancy firm is imperative to enable the successful candidate to transition into this role and ‘hit the ground running’.
This West Midlands based accountancy practice is ambitious for the future, a firm who has already seen recent strong growth. The Partners firmly believe that the success of the practice is intrinsically linked to the provision of a highly personalised service for clients. We are therefore looking for a Junior Accountant with a flair for building relationships and a passion for client care.
The main responsibilities of the Junior Accountant will include;
• Assisting with accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP’s & Charities
• VAT Returns
• Bookkeeping and Payroll duties
• Assisting with tax computations, both personal and corporate
• Liaising with clients
• Assisting in the management of client files
The successful Junior Accountant will have experience of working in a busy public practice accountancy firm and have the ambition to carve out a career working in Practice. Confidence in communicating with clients is essential, along with an eye for detail. Candidates without prior practice-based experience will not be considered for this role.
