A high-end furniture design studio are seeking a Financial Assistant. This is a permanent part-time position for a Financial Assistant (3 days a week) and will involve working closely with and under the supervision of the Financial Controller. The individual will have strong verbal and written communication skills as he/she will be in regular contact with all levels of staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts payable:

  • Input all invoices and bills into QuickBooks
  • Process payment of invoices for authorisation by the Financial Controller
  • Input and process staff expenses
  • Credit card input
  • Obtain invoices for all pro-forma invoices/orders (paid)

Accounts receivable:

  • Produce clients invoices for review by Financial Controller

Reconciliations:

  • Daily reconciliation of all bank account
  • Credit card statement
  • Various others on request

Payroll:

  • Setup new employees in accounting package
  • Process basic payroll for review by Financial Controller

General:

  • Daily update of actual cash flows into excel
  • Filing
  • Ad hoc projects requested by the Financial Controller

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years book-keeping

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient with double entry accounting
  • Excellent in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with desktop and online QuickBooks advantageous but not essential.
  • Comfortable using internet banking systems (preferred HSBC)
  • Understanding of multicurrency and foreign exchange
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook and Word
