Salary band: £80,000 - £100,000 plus package

Reporting directly into the Managing Director and Owner of the company, this new Commercial Director appointment will have strategic, operational and financial responsibility for sales activity over several International locations including but not limited to full continental Europe, Africa, Australia, Central/South America, Japan and Korea.
The Managing Director has been assuming the majority of Commercial Director responsibilities but with an increase in acquisitions and a plan to double the turnover to in excess of $100million this appointment will add considerable and focused value to the organisations strategic growth.
With overall P&L responsibility of a direct sales team of 30 people and a large external distribution network. This role will take a hands on but strategic approach to analysing the current revenue streams, product lines, customer base and making appropriate recommendations for growth.
The position will involve a high level of interaction with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and family board members to ultimately add value to the organisation and its leadership team.
Already a highly profitable organisation with a very impressive history this role is about helping the organisation progress to the next level rather than reinventing the way that it operates.
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Commercial Director/Leader within a manufacturer or distributor of a technical product.
Due to the UK and International nature of the role, it is essential that the individual has operated on both levels, ideally having held responsibility over overseas sales teams and/or office locations.
Whilst this role most definitely suits a senior sales orientated and commercially minded person, there is also a requirement for the individual to have a high level of analytical skills to ensure effective and strategic reporting.
Previous P&L responsibility is an essential as is the ability to demonstrate how you have impacted sales structures and growth plans previously.
