UK Sales Director - Software Solutions (Launch)

London - World Travel

£175-200,000 + 100% OTE

Synopsis of Role…This executive will take a leading role in driving the client’s expansion and continued commercial traction across the globe. They will oversee all sales and related activity and will be charged with building and leading the sales team to support the growth of the business, the role requires a "hands on leader" who has sold at the highest level into FTSE 100 businesses reporting directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, develop and lead a world-class sales team capable of driving the business to become the leader in the provision of customer journey management solutions into the target market segments including: telco, financial services, retail, motor
  • Establish and manage world-class sales processes (forecasting, pipeline management, territory management, account planning…etc.) to provide a solid platform to support the growth of the sales organisation
  • Play a lead role in developing C-level contacts in major customers and partners to drive market traction and play a very active role in customer-facing activities to help the team negotiate and close major contracts
  • Provide strong leadership and inculcate a positive and high-performing culture in the team
  • Serve as a key and active member of the leadership team
  • Act as company Ambassador at industry events and trade shows

THE Candidate

  • A world class, experienced technology sales management professional with at least 15 years of proven success in sales/sales leadership
  • A demonstrable record of increasing management responsibility and have led sales for companies selling complex solutions to major enterprise accounts with a focus on the business, rather than selling into IT
  • Proven experience in driving complex £multi-million enterprise software deals with a requirement for a significant pre-sales 'business consulting’ phase and the management of multiple stakeholders
  • Solid international experience - will have built and managed teams across multiple territories
  • Evidence of strategic and hands-on sales leadership during a period of rapid scaling of software revenues
  • BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or a related field. Ideally an MBA
