An exciting role in a small team managing a major trading platform; the role requires an experienced Technical Administrator to manage a globally accessed Trading platform. Crucial to this role is the need to manage both the production and test environments in a structured way, where possible using ITIL or best practices to ensure high-availability and a proactive approach to monitoring and reporting.

Technology stack/requirements:

Java/J2EE architecture

JMS, JBoss, XML, SOAP, SQL, HornetQ

SQL Server 2008 R2

Microsoft Server 2008 Clustering

ITIL qualification and/or able to demonstrate an understanding of IT best practice and governance

Trading systems exposure - Triplepoint Commodity XL experience a distinct advantage

Excellent team player and communication skills

Role includes:

JBOSS and HornetQ Server Configuration and management

Production SQL Server database administration and performance monitoring

Windows server performance monitoring

Monitor Messages, Queues, Topics and Subscriptions

Test environment management

Conforming with change management and where required implementing policies

Building KPI's and making recommendations to improve performance and availability

Driving DR and HA solution/improvements

Perform routine maintenance of Network, Application (including JBoss) and Database servers, including writing scripts to manage and monitor

Applying updates, patches, and configuration changes to software

This role is based in Central London, and will pay a base salary of up to £60000.
