Legal Analyst Administrator


salary: from £18,000,

working hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm

Hunters’ client is a prestigious legal company requiring a Litigation Underwriter to operate manual underwriting routines on accounts selected for litigation by the business’s automated scoring process and to ensure throughput of scorecard deliveries within the litigation strategy.

Reviewing Accounts on a case by case basis to determine appropriate treatment and to consider whether by utilising all underwriting criteria, what the next appropriate activity should be and whether in the circumstances litigation activity should be commenced. Consultants prepare reports, investigate facts and perform applicable work on files in a manner that meets timeline deadlines and quality standards.

Accountabilities -

Ensure that all accounts are checked, via active account monitoring, during the pre-litigation strategy for suitable progression into Litigation.

Ensure that all accounts are efficiently accessed for litigation suitability progressed through to litigation

Ensure manual data point analysis is completed on a forensic basis and whether or not the account is

currently suitable or suitable at all for litigation activity.

Review accounts to determine appropriate and applicable treatment including, ensuring incomplete or

missing data is obtained in line with Litigation Management.

Prepare appropriate report documents in a timely and accurate manner and adhering to all service level agreements in relation to the performance of the underwriting activity.

Responsible for delivery of manual scorecard review.

Maintain clear channels of communication with management and team members.

Responsibilities -

Responsible for delivering key lines of defence processes prior to litigation placement.

Responsible for delivery of manual scorecard analysis.

Responsible for monitoring and rehabilitation of data discrepancies.

Responsible for Underwriting Output Data Management.

Our client is looking for:

Formal Education & Certification

Educated to A-Level, preferably including legal studies

Knowledge & Experience

Minimum 3 years working in a litigation environment would be desirable

Previous experience working in a debt collections environment

Knowledge of financial services (consumer credit preferred) processes and procedures

Experience of scorecard development and data point requires preferable

PC literate -

Good knowledge of MS Excel

Knowledge of MS Access or similar database applications

Experience of other MS Office applications

High level of literacy and numeracy

Able to react quickly to developing situations with creative problem solving skills

Confident in communications, including excellent verbal and written communication skills
