Mechanical Maintenance Technicians - Recycling & Production
Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer? Do you have a background working in production / manufacturing environments? Does your experience include machinery such as conveyors, motors and gearboxes, ideally with knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics?
You can help create a greener UK
A greener, more environmentally-friendly UK is possible - and we’re making it happen. As a Mechanical Production Maintenance Technician at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing and established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill. Working at our Alternative Fuel Facility (AFF) in Tilbury Docks, you’ll be helping to transform residual material, which would otherwise go to landfill, into a product which is an alternative to fossil fuels.
What will I be doing as a Production Maintenance Technician?
Working on a 4 on / 4 off 12hr shift basis, we’ll look to you to provide planned preventative and reactive maintenance for all areas of our process and production plant, based at Tilbury, Essex. That means making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements, also identifying and driving continuous improvement. At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions. Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.
What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)
To join us you’ll have a strong mechanical background, ideally with an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent time served experience). You'll have worked in maintenance engineer / technician roles in manufacturing and production engineering environments, with hands on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics, with basic electrical knowledge / awareness. Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3, SUEZ take pride on investing in the training and development of their staff, so additional qualifications required which can be gained, include IOSH Health & Safety. The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is also desirable.
With a raft of benefits, family-friendly policies and excellent remuneration packages, there’s never been a better time to join SUEZ recycling and recovery UK.
We are proud of our fantastic opportunities for personal growth and development as we continue to build and grow our forward thinking company and you could play a key part in our success.
A friendly and supportive place that you will love to work, we believe creativity, clear communication and our drive for excellence are the keys to our success. We also expect our people to be enthusiastic and responsible. If you share our thinking - and have the qualities we’re looking for - you could play a big part in our dedicated team.
