Would you like to work for a technology company designing systems than enable companies to create value from their energy assets by making them work more efficiently? This exciting new role is a Billing and Settlements Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the next phase of their energy billing and settlements process and system. As customer numbers grow, so too will the need to develop efficient, robust scalable processes, and the Billing and Settlements Manager will be at the core of this development. So if you have developed systems and processes for energy billing and settlements before, Billing and Settlements Manager could be the role for you!!!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all processes related to billing and settlement are efficient and fit for purpose
  • Settlement validation, confirmation and invoicing processes are efficient and accurate
  • Provide regular reporting is provided to internal and external stakeholders
  • Processes are clearly documented and comply with HMRC obligations
  • billing and settlement queries and disputes are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Maintain good working relationships with external counterparties
  • Develop communication with teams in finance, technical, operations and commercial
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of contractual structures
  • Adapt the billing and settlement process to align with changing business needs. This may include supporting any transition to/integration with a third party system

Experience Required:

  • At least 5-year experience in a billing and settlement back-office environment
  • Experience of validation and settlement of ancillary services contracts
  • Excellent knowledge of settlement and VAT in the UK electricity industry
  • Experience of implementing/improving a billing and settlement system/ processes
  • Clear and confident communication style, both written and verbal
  • Highly numerate
  • Able to deliver to deadlines, set priorities and work under pressure
  • Ability to balance commercial requirements with control and audit requirements
  • Ability to understand the accounting requirements for the information provided to finance
