As a leading technology provider, our client uses the latest technologies to manage and maintain their customers IT systems. Operating at the forefront of their industry, they work very closely with a range of schools and colleges, and are now looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer who will be site based at a school in Ash near Farnham in Surrey.
This is a great opportunity for a quick learner to develop their skills within a growing, supportive and dynamic IT company.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving user support issues as well as administration of the school’s network and IT systems. You will report to the Senior IT Support Engineer.
You will receive a comprehensive training package which will help you achieve highly recognised and prized IT industry qualifications.
To be considered, you will need previous IT support experience.
Experience of supporting or administering SOME of the following will be beneficial:
- Microsoft Server 2008r2, 2012r2, Active Directory & Group Policy
- Windows 7, 8 & 10, Microsoft Office - Outlook and Office 365
- VMware ESxi
- iPads & mobile device management
- Network infrastructure including wired, wireless and firewalls
Most importantly, as an IT Support Engineer, it is essential that you are a clear and logical thinker with a quality approach to customer service. You should also be a good communicator ensuring that the teaching and support staff at the school are kept up to date with progress on issue resolution.
The successful applicant must live within a commutable distance of Ash in Surrey or be prepared to relocate.
