Exciting new opportunities have arisen to join the Mortgage Lending team within this growing business based in Basingstoke. The role will be servicing all the post completion requirements of the Lending team and the manager is looking for bright, assertive candidates who possess confident verbal and written communication skills. Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Managing the post completion activities on mortgage applications which will include:
    • The maturity process
    • Redemption statements
    • Redemptions actual
    • Annual statements
    • Mid point repayment strategy checks
    • General post completion activities (such as death of borrower, transfer of equity, returned post, change of address)
    • Post completion offer condition - AST, debt consolidation chasing etc.
  • Actively manage alerts, assigned activities and a pipeline of cases
  • Follow defined business process, policy and procedures and ensure a consistent quality of all work undertaken
  • Liaise with Customers, Intermediaries, Solicitors and other third parties to understand the current position relating to outstanding items, future maturities and changes to customer mortgages
  • Build relationships with the Underwriting Team and the external Business Development Team
  • Work as part of the Lending team, ensuring that all activities required within the Post Completions team are completed as required and assist colleagues where business volumes dictate
  • Maintain all regulatory requirements, including Data Protection, Anti Money Laundering and Treating Customers Fairly.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Financial services background, including mortgage lending experience
  • Excellent telephone manner, used regularly in day to day role, with experience in dealing direct with the general public and handling calls which are complex and require agreement of actions during the call
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of working with an Intermediary led business
  • Experience of working within a busy team environment
  • Experience in managing own workload and bring flexible where required in the approach to day to day activities
  • Sense of humour
