My client, based in Huntingdon, are seeking an experienced SAP professional to join their well established team.

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to maintain the accuracy of SAP transactions, master data, and inventories. It will also be essential to provide training as required to ensure employees are able to perform all SAP transactions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide support to maintain the accuracy of SAP transactions, master data, and inventories.

  • Provide training to ensure employees are able to perform all SAP transactions.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for SAP transactions including Production Planning and Execution, Plant Maintenance, and Warehouse Management System.

  • Recommend process or system changes as identified.

  • Respond to equipment and software issues and coordinate a timely resolution. Include Zebra printers, RF scanners, and account logins.

  • Support Managers, supervisors and Super-Users with SAP software and hardware needs.

  • Manage and update master data, including bill of materials, routings, work orders, warehouse bin locations, confirmations, receipts, and scrap.

  • Provide support to the department during SAP outages.

  • Lead employee group or individual training for new hires and refresher courses on basic SAP functions and transaction codes.

  • Communicate with Service Desk regarding individual or system concerns.

  • Assist inventory control system and warehouse functions in maintaining accuracy of information.

  • Assist in the development of standard working practices within and around SAP

Due to the nature of the role it is essential for the chosen candidate to have outstanding communication skills, a calm manner and the ability to adapt to different training needs.

The working hours for this position are on a shift basis working 7.00am – 3.00pm and 3.00pm – 11.00pm Monday to Friday.

This role will suit a car driver as from time to time it may be essential to travel to other sites.
