Electrical Maintenance Technicians - Recycling & Production
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician / Enginer? Are you currently working in a production / manufacturing environment? Do you have knowledge of fault finding on electrical control systems (PLC’s) and machinery such as conveyors, motors and gearboxes?
You can help create a greener UK
A greener, more environmentally-friendly UK is possible - and we’re making it happen. As an Electrical Production Maintenance Technician at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing and established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill. Working at our Alternative Fuel Facility (AFF) in Tilbury Docks, you’ll be helping to transform residual material, which would otherwise go to landfill, into a product which is an alternative to fossil fuels.
What will I be doing as a Production Maintenance Technician?
Working on a 4 on / 4 off 12hr shift basis, your team will be responsible for keeping the plant in good running order, using your skills and experience to maintain electrical and diagnostic equipment, ensuring that health and safety is the priority. This will be done through reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), driving continuous improvement. The key is to see the big picture and the importance to understand the needs of internal customers, balancing this against financial targets.
What are the requirements (Experience and qualifications)?
You’ll have a predominantly electrical background, ideally qualified through an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent time served experience). You'll have worked in maintenance technician roles, within manufacturing and production engineering environments, with hands on knowledge of fault finding on electrical control systems (Siemens PLC and Mitsubishi) and wiring schematics on equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics. Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3, SUEZ pride themselves on investing in the training and development of their staff so additional qualifications required, which can be gained on joining, IOSH include Health & Safety. The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is also desirable.
With a raft of benefits, family-friendly policies and excellent remuneration packages, there’s never been a better time to join SUEZ recycling and recovery UK.
We are proud of our fantastic opportunities for personal growth and development as we continue to build and grow our forward thinking company and you could play a key part in our success.
A friendly and supportive place that you will love to work, we believe creativity, clear communication and our drive for excellence are the keys to our success.
