I am currently working with a leading Government Body based in the heart of Central London looking to recruit a payroll administrator into their Finance team. This is a contract role for 6 months with a possible extension.
The main purpose of this role is to assist the payroll supervisors in the normal day-to-day running of the payroll section. The key duties of this role include:
- Manage incoming mail
- Manage payments on the internal database i.e. overtime, holiday pay etc
- Print and distribute payslips
- Assist with general monthly payroll administration i.e. new starters, tax codes, tax rebates, season tickets etc
- General office administrative support such as filing, scanning, managing incoming queries
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a payroll environment ideally within a government based organisation, have a strong proficiency of MS Office and payroll as well as working with large volumes of data.
