We are currently looking for a new Advertising Sales Executive on one of our clients popular titles at their head office within Colchester, Essex.

This title needs a hungry, enthusiastic and motivated individual to dedicate their time to help build strong, long lasting relationships with current advertisers and to pro-actively seek new clients for the publication. You need to be an excellent Account Manager to work through the established database we have for this title but also be astute in finding new business in this ever changing market.

50% of the companies staff have been with them for five years and over, and many of their managers have been with them for ten years plus.

The role will require a well spoken and confident character to maintain the magazines excellent advertising revenue and build upon this by speaking with potential new advertisers, promoting the magazine over the phone to relevant clients. You will need to be able to overcome objections and be able to demonstrate a passion and genuine interest in the advertisers and their products, and be able to build rapport quickly and professionally.

This role will suit a candidate who has previous experience of building relationships with clients, both new and existing. You will need to have an excellent telephone manner and be able to communicate with a range of different personalities. Maybe you have worked in a call centre making outbound calls to clients? Maybe you have sold advertising space previously? We would like to hear from you today if so.

85% of the role will be managing customers via the telephone but the other 15% of the role will involve chasing for copy and handling administrative tasks for the publication, therefore the role requires a candidate to be extremely organised with excellent time management skills, as well as needing the ability to speak confidently and build relationships quickly and easily. 50% of the day you will be liaising with your current customers and account managing those customers and then 50% of the time you will be researching and speaking with new potential advertisers.

Hours of work are 9am until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am until 5pm on a Friday, with one hour for lunch.

Salary will be a good basic salary with commission available on a monthly basis.
