Seymour John are working in partnership with a large manufacturing organisation to recruit for a purchase ledger clerk on a temporary basis. This is a maternity cover position and will be six to nine months in duration.

The Business

The business is a market leading organisation and is currently going through a period of sustained growth. You will be based out of the organisations Birmingham office, which is easily accessible via car and public transport.

The Role

Reporting directly into the finance manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring the accuracy of supplier invoices and credits. You will be required to log between 200-300 supplier invoices, whilst also sorting, coding and processing invoices and credit notes. In addition to the above, you will be asked to assist with the month end close, alongside the posting of sales journals. A key part of the role will be to reconcile the accounts payable transactions with the supplier statements. The monitoring of the accounts to ensure there is no debit balances on the aged creditors report will be a required task, in addition to providing essential information for audits.
