Berkeley East Thames are currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our Sales and Marketing team for an immediate start based in our brand new head office at Royal Arsenal Riverside, located in Woolwich, South East London. We offer a competitive salary and benefits including company pension, 25 days leave and private medical after 1 years’ service. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm.

* Please be aware that this role is based in Royal Arsenal from April 2017 onwards - the head office is currently based at Kidbrooke Village SE3 with an office move to Woolwich planned for Easter 2017. The successful candidate will be based in Kidbrooke Village until April 2017.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant to provide support to the Marketing Manager. Ideally you will have experience within the property sector and have a Marketing related Degree. The successful candidate will assist in the production of marketing material relating to our sites, ensure all on-line and off-line marketing is up-to-date, and assist the PR team with events, launches and press releases. This role involves engaging with the local community regarding events and communications as well as providing administrative support to the Marketing Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

Marketing Material

  • Assist in production of marketing material - brochures, mail, outdoor media and stationery

  • Drafting agency briefs to instruct work, including timescales and deadlines

  • Gathering estimated costs for design and print

  • Day to day liaison with the Sales Team to ensure that they are fully stocked with marketing collateral

  • Assist in the production of development models and liaising with Model Makers and Technical Department to ensure valid, current and accurate content is used at all times

  • Assist with graphics in the Sales and Marketing suite ensuring all messages are current and on brand

  • Assist in the production of interactive presentations in line with sales launches

  • Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure deadlines are met

  • Ensuring Berkeley Group Branding and Approval Protocols are adhered to at all times

Online and Offline Advertising

  • Ensuring all PPC ad copy is updated monthly in line with current advertising messages and availability

  • Assist in the design, installation and repair, in collaboration with the Estate Management Team where necessary, of on-site signage to include hoarding, flags and directional signage.

  • Production of email campaigns

  • Updating the Sales Team with regards to marketing advertising and email campaigns

Website and Portals

  • Maintaining development websites and property portals, ensuring all images, copy, prices and sales messages are up to date

  • Updating news features on website - launches, promotional events and achievements.

PR Activity

  • Assist in the production and sign off of press releases

  • Liaise with appointed PR agency on launch events and press events

  • Assist with production of award entries

  • Maintain Awards Schedule

  • Coordinate resident and commercial case studies, including photography and thank you gifts

Residents and Community Engagement

  • Assist with the development of quarterly resident's newsletter

  • Collation of community stories and liaison between PR agency

  • Assist with organisation of community events

Photography and Images

  • Coordinating and booking photographer when necessary
  • Drafting photographer’s brief for each photo shoot

  • Assist with the production of CGI’s

  • Maintain Image Database

Overseas Activity

  • Book travel and accommodation for overseas events

  • Coordinate shipment marketing material for overseas exhibitions and offices

  • Production of development Fact Sheets for overseas offices and agents


  • Maintaining the Marketing Inventory

  • Maintain Campaign Schedule for key Sales Launches

  • Maintaining the Marketing Activity Schedule

  • Purchase Orders for all approved estimates

  • Processing of invoices

  • Raising requests for Bank Transfers and Cheque Requisitions

  • Coordinating the sign off of brochures and other marketing material

  • Monthly Reporting
