A Head of Controls & Process Change - EMEA is sought by the EMEA division of a globally recognised music company. They work with dozens of artists who enjoy worldwide recognition and the company own the rights to significant back catalogues of music than span various genres. It is highly likely that you will hear the music of one of their artists on a weekly if not daily basis.

The Head of Controls & Process Change - EMEA will be tasked with strengthening the overall control environment by overseeing, designing, implementing and operating a robust system of SOX-compliant internal controls and processes across the region. Please note that this role sits in within the finance team and is not an Internal Audit role.
Reporting to the Senior VP (Controls & Process Transformation) specific duties include:
·     Develop, update and maintain the region’s financial policies, procedures and controls; ensure they are documented & implemented by all EMEA business units.
·     Research, identify & implement best practice across all regional business units.
·     Identify control weaknesses and provide remedies; ensure these are implemented.
·     Support / promote local control owners in maintaining / enhancing their controls etc.
·     Work closely with senior stakeholders / EMEA business heads to ensure that all new policies & procedures are relevant, suitable, SOX compliant & commercially viable.
·     Lead, drive and report results for all EMEA region in-scope internal control reviews.
·     A range of ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate for the Head of Controls & Process Change - EMEA will be a senior finance professional (perhaps a qualified accountant) who has gained substantial experience of designing, developing and implementing changes & improvements to existing processes and controls within complex international businesses, either by working directly for them or whilst acting as an external consultant - some exposure to SOX is required as the business is US owned. You will also be a strong project manager, demonstrably capable of influencing change at FD level. Finally, you will have a strong, target driven approach along with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to do some (c. 25%) travel. This is a high profile role with a very high profile company.

Salary: £100000 - £125000 + big bonus + pension + benefits
